I sent it to Carlona Redi-strip just south of me. Was about $900 for the cab and one of the doors. The other was too damaged for me to want to dip.

The stripping company coated it with Ospho as part of the total and my garage is basically climate controlled so other than a little flash rust from before they got the ospho on it and a few spots where the chemicals couldn't reach it's stayed mostly rust free.

I haven't decided on how to paint the inaccessables. I may just hose it down myself. Thought about a powder coat primer but probably should have done it first since I've got weld-through primer on some of my repair areas and I'm not sure how that will do in an oven.

The metal dip was a good choice. It basically removes anything that isn't clean steel (and I do mean steel, it will destroy aluminum and other metals) wherever it touches. With this being a northern truck a blaster would have never managed to get it this clean.
