Some are worse than others.

My in-laws have a GE front loader that will walk all over the laundry room and bang around when it's even slightly out of balance. They had several different repair people out trying to fix it while it was under warranty and they could never get it to run without banging around.

We have a Samsung front loader that has counter-balance bearings in it (VRT system). At the first slight sign of shaking/balance issues it slows itself down to allow the bearings in a viscous liquid to catch up, and then speeds back up. Once it reaches high speed spin you can put a glass of water on it and there will only be the slightest of vibration on the surface.

I would have loved to purchase an American made front loader, but all of the American made brands (at least at that time) had a bad reputation for quality and banging.

I've not had a single issue with our Samsung and the VRT system works perfectly for keeping it smooth and quiet.
