Prosecutors say a New York City man went on a three-month car-stealing spree, taking more than two dozen vehicles to sell them for scrap.
Prosecutors say Nazario made off with 26 cars between Aug. 9 and Oct. 23. and had them towed to a Bronx scrapyard. The DA's office says he falsely swore on state forms that allow vehicles over eight years old to be sold for scrap without a title.
Prosecutors say he got about $350 per car.
