I was back in VN in October '01 and I didn't see any M37's that I recall. Did see some 5 tons, a few Sweptline cab bigger trucks, Desoto IIRC. Some European looking tandem rigs, some with 2 steer axles and a lot of Russian trucks about 1 1/2 ton size. There were also quite a few homebuilt rigs with an engine that sounded like the old 2 cylinder JD tractors. The first one I heard that's what I thought it was and then it came out of the woods looking like a truck! Our guide said they called them UN trucks because they were built from any handy part available from any part of the world except the engine which was a Russian one I think.
