You know if you are running the diesel proportioning valve with the crew cab, I would think the crew cab is a little heavier in the rear and you might be able to get a little more out of your rear brakes. Prior to fancy self proportioning brakes I think trucks have always been a problem for the OEMs because of the widely varying weight distribution. I have replaced the rear brake rotors in my duramax truck because they do so little the rust wasn't cleaning off the rotors when I stopped eventually it built up and made the rotors very rough which in turn ate up the brake pads.

I have never had warped rotors that did anything other than pulse the pedal this has be wondering if maybe the bouncing is caused by something else worn in the suspension? How are the bushings in the leaf springs? My scout bounces in the rear pretty badly under certain conditions and I am pretty sure it is because of the very worn rear spring bushings. Maybe shocks are worth looking at also. What you describe sounds similiar to wheel hop just in reverse and maybe lightly warped rotors that you wouldn't notice otherwise are making it more obvious.
