I use mine. when opened they suck out fumes quickly, help regulate cabin temps, and the are an option that cost extra. they can be opened all the way quickly for a nice blast of fresh air. for smokers they suck out the smoke. that is why they call them vent windows. they also help when cracked open with defrosting windshield and side windows. ford and toyota kept them in their trucks for a long long time for customer satisfaction. into the 90s I believe.
