I dont think it would make any difference on a flathead 6. the rpm range it functions in, under 4,000 rpms is too low for bigger exhaust to make any difference. I think enlaring the exhaust ports in the block and matching the intake and exhaust ports to match the manifold has a more noticeable effect than dual exhaust would. I do thins on my flateads. the port work smooths them out a bit too.
