They have been pretty good. Their shipping charges used to be really high, but they seem to have gotten them down to the range of reason now. You still have to watch when ordering a bunch of small parts that ship from different places. Sometimes the same small part is available from several manufacturers and it's better to buy the slightly more expensive one that ships from the same place as other stuff you're ordering.

A year or so ago they listed a set of WM300 brake shoes on close-out for $30 or something. Being shocked that they were still available from a regular auto supply place, I immediately ordered them. When I got them, they were obviously later GMC shoes. They quickly refunded my money and told me to keep the shoes because being discontinued the manufacturer didn't want them either. They should fit my chevy pickup, so I can't complain about that.

Recently I had to buy a new exhaust system for my Honda car. Rock Auto had good prices on all the pipes but Summit Racing had the same prices, plus free shipping, which is significant on pipes. Summit Racing seems to be trying to compete in the general auto parts business these days too. Don't know if the free shipping was just a special promo or is their everyday policy, but it might be worth checking there too for large or heavy parts.

I'd like to support my local auto parts shop, but when they charge me $17 for a set of points that I can get from between $1.70 and $5.50 from Rock Auto, depending on the brand, I'll go with Rock Auto.
