I'm not sure the gasket lengths are the same from each manufacturer. When, I installed my pan gasket, I tried leaving them factory length like some say. There was no way they were going to compress enough. And, the longer you leave them, the more they interfere with the side gaskets. I cut the gaskets approx. 1/4" longer on each side and installed them. The acid test: they don't leak. So, I must have installed them right.
