I will be going down to the police department tomorrow morning to file a report. Today was spent calling and making a list of scrapyards and recyclers who will accept engine blocks from individuals (turns out that not all will). I'll be going to the 5 or 6 closest yards tomorrow to "look through the pile" and see if my block is there. As far as the machine shop owner goes, I think he'll do the right thing and make it right, but I'll have to see how it goes...
