It's not easy to replace the rear seal. Clean it up, button it up and make the decision after you have driven it a few hundred miles.
On mine, the oil leak was a result of a dried out and cracked piece of gasket at the rear of the pan.
Rear seal leaks will tend to throw oil inside the clutch area. Pan leaks tend to leak on the outside. A leaking front seal can also cause a lot of oil along the engine.
