Come purgatory or high water, I'm using my floor-mounted pedals. They're a characteristic of these trucks that I love, and unless there's a completely factory-looking bolt-in hanging pedal setup with the oval pads like the originals, they are staying in my '50. Yes, they are a little crowding, less comfortable than a hanging setup, but Ray's setup just hasn't hit me just right yet. Nothing at all whatsoever against Ray, either- without his contributions, we'd still be scratching our heads on what to do to get V8s into our trucks. It's just been aggravating trying to get direct answers from him, sometimes. He's a busy man, and that's completely understandable. I got into this deal a lot later than many of us.

The mini starter is a solution to the stock pedal interference that's been mentioned. I love the sound of the original gear-reduction Mopar starters, and although I've ran Jap mini starters on most of my rides over the last ten years, it's been mostly because of clearance issues. Try changing the starter on a 440 Dart, 440 D100, or 340 Duster; you'll understand why.
