Rear PTO

Now that I've installed the rear PTO and belt pulley set up on my truck, I have a couple of questions. I greased the fitting on the pillow block housing, The 90 degree belt pulley housing leaked some fluid and I need to understand what type of gear oil goes in it and how to put the gear oil in it. There is a large 3/4" square drive nut on the elbow. Does that have to be backed out to fill the unit? Any help would be appreciated.
