You might want to try something a little more gentle on the motor. Pulling the truck in gear might be more than it wants, and you don't have much control. I have freed up at least 4 230 flatheads. After soaking with Marvel Mystery Oil for a few weeks, I got under with a 24" bar and pried against the teeth on the ring gear, first one way and then the other way unitl it moved. Keep it up until you can move the gear all the way around.
What are you calling "laminate"....plywood?
