I have an older Ag-Tronic (Coleman) 7.5KW generator that worked fine last time I used it. Took brushes out and springs were good as well as brushes. Believe it needs to be re-engergized. I plugged in a cord drill in the 110v out let on the generator and spun it with a cordless drill. Put a rod between the chucks and used the cordless to drive the motor on the corded drill with the switch on while the tractor was running the generator at recommended speed. That didn't work. The generator has two terminals, one going to each brush. Can I use my battery booster and touch the ends to the terminals that contain the brushes. I don't have the manual on the generator and I've seen similar on You Tube videos with Honda powered generators, but they had wires that were marked plus and minus. Not sure about what to do next. Any advice would be helpful due to the storm hitting tomorrow night.
