Also M37 and WC brake parts.

I just placed an order for a right side wheel cylinder from my local NAPA. It will come directly from the factory in McHenry, Illinois. Good to see some of these new replacement parts are still being made in America.

NAPA would not tell me the name of the company who manufactures it, but I suspect it is S&S Truck Parts Incorporated, located in Schaumburg, IL, with their cylinders marketed as the Newstar brand. I have bought wheel cylinders from VPW before that carried the Newstar label. And, I have bought wheel cylinders from them that were marked Made in Mexico.

In any case I see that S&S still shows new brake shoes for our trucks - again under the Newstar label. I am waiting on information to arrive from the company, but my hopes are that their brake shoes are indeed new manufacture and the linings are riveted. I see where VPW is now selling only reconditioned bonded brake shoes.

We will see if these McHenry, Illinois made NAPA cylinders are Newstar or not.

Will update as I learn more.

Junior
