A couple advantages of discs are:

1) They dissipate more heat, so you may want them for high speed use or in mountains. Ans heavy loads means more heat.

Ever overheat drum brakes on a long down hill until they stop working? Used to be that drivers learned to use low gears on hills, and 'pulse' brakes- use them intermittently, then back off for a second to let them cool. Now everybody just rides their discs. Have you read about Toyotas with stuck throttles that overheat their brakes when drivers try to slow down instead of just stopping? Even discs can overheat, it just takes longer than any hill.

2) Self cleaning. Drums fill with mud when submerged. Then the mud and sand grind the drums to death. You need to pull them apart and clean out the mud ASAP. Get the mud hot and it bakes hard. Ceramic hard.

3) Ease of maintenance. Easier to plug-n-play new pads.

Your decision. Personally, I went to boosted dual masters with drums on both of my trucks.
