and a DOT number. Get a copy of the insurance policy and DOT number before you commit. Check the carrier out on safersys.org. they list the carriers details re accidents, etc. DOT registered carriers must have insurance and they have to post a 10k bond that you can go after if there is a shipping problem. get a contract too. anyone carrying a FFPW on a trailer will be over 10k lbs. which is the DOT # threshold and if hauling as a legit business with have no problem providing the above. you have to balance the above with how much the truck is worth and how much you pay for shipping.
