Nope, magnets are from Radio Shack. Purchased two packs to make the stack. Wish I could claim it was my idea, but saw this somewhere on the net when researching these. Thought it was a great idea and works really well as you can see from my pics. Just adds another level of filtering.
The filter comes with two different screens, I have been using the fine screen so far. I guess when I am confident that most of the crap is out, I can switch to the coarse screen.
I have not noticed any flow problem, of course I am not on the road yet. You'll really want to monitor your temps until you gain some confidence in this. In the worst case, you could get blockage which would impede flow and thus cooling? Just check it fairly often until you get an idea of how much crap is in your system.
