Yep, do the master cylinder when you have the fender and inner fender off and the battery out. Seems everything is easier to do with the fenders off. If you take the fenders off for some reason, leave them off until you are finished with everything. Even bleeding the brakes is easier.

Gloves are a must to protect the back of your hand from the exhaust manifold when adjusting valves. Mechanics gloves work fine.

I found that lifting the truck up to shoulder height with a car lift made adjusting the lifters much easier (if you're lucky enough to have access to a lift).
