Some of you have asked about the paint used on my 48 PW.
I have been on duty since August 3 with no days off until just last monday. We have been in Norther Calif for the majority of the time, although we started in Kern County for 3 weeks. I have spent my last few days off prepping the bed sides for blasting and then back up to Jason's, if hes not to busy becoming a traitor, to do some more boy ork on the sides.
Anyway, I talked to the paint guy I use today and he went back to the color chart I gave him for the paint color.
I bought, off ebay, a page from an unknown book that has paint chips. The page I have is 19, it says on the top "DODGE COMMERCIAL" Factory Duplicate Colors 1949-1950-51-52.
On this page are 11 color chips, one being my color, 1948-9-50-1 Seawolf Submarine Green. With the Code 80-304.
He told me all you hafta do if you want this color is to talk to your paint guy and tell him this code and he can get it in whatever paint brand he uses. Then he said he added a flat binder to the paint and sprayed. The result is what you see here.
I sincerely apologize for the delay in getting this info to those that asked, as I know they were waiting to paint their trucks pending the information from me.
