I have a chance to acquire a 1943 WC-53 Carryall Ex-radio truck. I need to know what would be a good price for a non running Carryall that hss been sitting forever.
This Carryall has been sitting under a walnut tree on a local farm for 10 years, and has'nt run and been sitting outside and not running. The carryall is realitivly good shape excect the origional tire mount is missing and the right rear quarter panel is broken from the rear sill where the rear door is attached. Rear lower door is no good and needs to be replaced. All running gear is intact and complete, no seats but everything else is there.
There is minimal rust on the truck, but the wood bed is toast.
The origonal owner bought it from the army in 1946 and has been using it on his farm towing hay trailers around the farm.he retired the truck in 1990 by parking it and letting it rust away under a walnut tree. IS IT worth $1000.00 to $1500.00 or is it worth more than what I can pay ( I hope not!!!). Unfortunatly thats all I can afford and the old farmer who owned it died and the family has no idea what it is worth.
