You can use straight 140, 90 WAE oil. You can buy it at a Pep-Boys store and also the pump to pump it in. Works real well. Some of the guys use the multi grade and that seems to work fine as well. Regarding the engine, I use detergent and have for many years. I like to keep my engine parts clean. Some of the guys use non-detergent. The owners manual does not specify either one. Personal choice I guess. Either will work fine. Normally 30 WAE is used, but I use a 15-50 oil in the engine.
