By going into this site I have determind that # 83944390 is a 55-56 PW. through reading more it says this truck changed to 12 volt in 55. this one has a 6 volt system still. Am I correct in thinking that it might be a late 54 or early 55 that didn't get changed?
Or the previous owner has the wrong battery in it. I just discovered this and its too late tonight to go mess with it. I will look at the starter and generator tomorrow to see what they are.6v or 12v. maybe this is why it won't stay running for me. I seen the 6 volt battery and assumed it was correct. I'm new to these trucks so if my questions sound stupid I'm sorry bear with me as a rule I'm a quick learner.
