8' bed for '58 W-300, options?

I'm finally getting around to looking for a bed for my '58 W-300, which has a 9' diamond plate flat bed on it presently (will go on '67 W-300). I believe that it originally was fitted with an 8' step side bed, which I think was the same as later beds. So, will anything from '54-71 work, or were there changes within this period? Were all fenders the same, or are there different wheel cutout sizes? Appreciate any help, as all my PW's have flatbeds so far! Thanks, Rob
