Mat, I'm very new to all this myself (I don't even have a Power Wagon yet) but I've learned more from this forum in the past few months than I ever thought I'd know! First, I think you're looking for a '46-'47 WDX or '48-'68 WM300, the M-37s are more military looking as are the WCs (and others), or you might be looking for a Town Wagon. Just, whatever you do, DON'T CALL THESE THINGS S.U.V.s!! People on this site will hurt you! There was nothing "Sport Utility" about these vehicles! They were big and ugly, went anywhere but the opera, and don't want to be associated with the SUV crowd. I'm looking at a '47 WDX, but was told the M-37s (et al) would probably be cheaper and more plentiful. Some collectors and such have driven the prices up over the past few years, so be ready to dish out bucks for anything that runs. But if you get the fever... I've got it now... you'll drive yourself nuts finding one, so hold out until you find JUST WHAT YOU WANT, and don't settle for, "Oh, here's one, I'll just buy it." Look through the photo classifieds, that'll help you distinguish the difference in some of the P/Ws, M-37s, TW, etc. Also, I've noticed, if you live anywhere but Nebraska, you've got an advantage over me! (I think the National Parks Commission bought them all up way back when, and just left them out in the woods!) They're hidden around, just keep looking!
