No, you press on the outlet but allow fluid to leak out as you press the piston and press hard on the outlet as you release the piston so air doesn't re-enter.
My W500 does indeed have a bleeder screw on the slave cylinder and you need to work that to get the remaining air out of the line. The problem is that if the master cylinder is not pre-bled, you will work for days trying to get the process started.
