I just read the philosophy of the Power Wagon Advertiser people. It is sort of a parable but without any comparative references except those you can glean from an understanding of that which is truly beautiful in the realm of industries' long-gone solid state accomplishments. It describes the feeling I get when I'm around my two WC's. It is a sort of admiration and pride all rolled into one because value is intrinsic and the value found tucked away in your old truck is a rare commodity according to the current standards. It brings to mind some of the philosophy described in "Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance," where an explanation is provided for the difference between people who look at a mechanical operating system and see boxes and shapes without cohesion and those who see a mryiad of intricately assembled parts and appreciate the lack of a sum-total without the participation of the smallest. It is in this niche that exists a worthy depository for human passion; a place where I like to be, and from which I must now digress...Good reading, at any rate...
