Clutch Fan Vs Thermal Fan

I need some advice. Which fan clutch was stck on the 74 440 V8??
What are the pro & cons of the two????
I am tired of the fan noise and have to make a change. I could tolerate the 53 B3PW gear noise driving long distances but not the fan noise of the 74.
