The Np 200, 201 and 205 were all 1.96:1 ratios in low range. They all use the same dual shifter shaft configuration, but the 205 and some 201s have a single lever in the cab. All of them can be set up for either single or dual lever, just look underneath a single lever truck and you'll see a piece of steel that links the two shifter rails together for single lever use.

All these cases use many of the same parts, such as oil seals, and almost all of the bearings are the same, including the little needle rollers inside. Though I've never tried it, I think many of the castings are interchangeable too. I've heard that the fine splines on the 205 are a little stronger, but I have never seen a spline fail on any of these cases. Usually it is a blown bearing or a crack in the case from abuse that kills it.

The 205 cases were used up through 1974 (I have one in my `74 W200 snowfighter, love it!), but I don't know if Dodge went back to them once they figured out their mistake with the 203s
