That's what you did. My wife didn't like my truck either when it first came home. I told her how "clean" it was and when she first laid eyes upon it she about freaked; told me that it will NEVER sit in the driveway and she would NEVER ride in it.
18 months later she can tell the WW2 trucks form the civilians and has even said (once) that the 1/2 ton WW2 trucks (closed cabs) are "cute"!!
"Our" truck isn't quite road worthy yet, so whether or not she'll actually ride in it is still up in the air (I think she will).
You've already found the #1 place for info! Now all you need is: 5 gallons of WD-40, 3 cases of nitrile gloves, 27 gallons of de-greaser, 123 cases of beer, set of torches, air compressor, sand blaster, MIG welder, Greg Coffin’s “Survival Guide”, shop manual, parts book, patients of Job, more time than a clock and a little cash and you'll be done!
