I use a MAPP gas torch, Nokorode acid soldering paste or similar, and 50/50 wire solder, which has the lowest melting point of the solders I'm familar with. 50/50 might be hard to find since its not lead free and therefore not approved for plumbing. Be sure the steel is shiny clean in the hole and around it, apply flux, heat and keep touching the surface with the solder. You can get it to a paste consistancy if you don't over heat and burn the flux. Good luck
