Frame paint

Hi, everyone!
Any suggestions on what to use to paint the frame on a '47 WDX? I'm trying to stay as original as possible while taking advantage of modern materials. I was considering POR15 but A) it is too glossy and B) it isn't stable when exposed to sunlight for long periods. Any thoughts or experiences would be greatly appreciated!
