Since you can't have a 1/2 tooth on either gear, it doen't take many tries to figure out the tooth count from the ratio.
Seems to me there is always somebody looking here for new gear sets. I've certainly had the bull gear jump the heifer shaft a couple times. Then bought used gear sets worn to full contact.
