Sherman, I have a really neat 1943 gen set w/a one hp briggs. the little motor runs like a new one, starts easy, no smoke, no odd noises, generator side does not work properly, the capicitor does not excite the fields right,300 watt 110v, DC only, radio signal corp. 1943. do you have anything simular lying around that the capicitor might work on this set? I'll get the numbers on the cap tomorrow and post up if you think you might be able to help. Dave.
