I haul crushed cars part time to Schnitzer scrapyard in PDX and they will NOT take tires. I got to spend about 3 hours one day with a little jitney that had hard rubber on it that my Boss "supposedly" had gotten the OK for me to bring in. They were not at all amused. Other yards may be different.
