The GMC oil field truck is a bittersweet deal. My friend has been building this truck for 10 years. He came down with Parkinsons and physically wasnt up to putting it all together. Over the course of the last several months some guys got it all together for him. He called us and asked if someone could come to his shop and drive it to the show. At the shop he decided he could climb in and ride. His wife wasnt thrilled as she was gonna drive him to the show. But he got in and rode while a friend drove. He was all smiles pulling into the show. He did pretty good for several hours and then got tired and had some problems. Wife came and got him and we took the truck back to the shop. Other then a few fast trips around the block this was its first big outting and drive. He may never get to drive it and this could have been his last big day and ride in the truck. Its just a tough deal.
The truck is just amazing inside and out. All new and painted. He really did it up right over the years.
Kind of a life lesson yesterday. Do it, live it and go go go because tomorrow may not happen or be good!
