brake lights (or lack of...)

Today (after nine months of owning this truck....) I finally realized I have no brake lights. How hard can that be to fix? I see on the forum people talking about a switch that is on the master cylinder, but I don't seem to have one. There is a small maybe 1/4" NPT plug on the bottom of the master cylinder, but no switch and no wires.

The previous owner did the wiring for the truck, an from the looks of it he did a nice job. Turn signals, flasher, etc all work. Just it looks like he didn't install the brake light wiring or switch. I checked my manuals, and for my truck they show some with and some without the parking brake. I'll fix this with something since I drive it on the road around here.

Is it possible that some of the Power Wagons didn't have brake lights? It is a 1956 C4.
