Haha. I think I know about a dozen words in Spanish, tops. French, about the same. I USED to be semi-conversant in Finnish (Suomea), but Norwegian is my second language. I haven't spoken it much in the last four years, as marriage and our son are my life now, and I've only been back to Oslo once in that time. Of all the languages out there, I LOVE Finnish for it's simplicity of structure, but it's a very hard language to learn. That it's now mandatory for kids here to take Spanish in school is an abomination, in my opinion. If you plan on moving or immigrating to another country, it should be a requirement that you can fully communicate in that country's tongue. It's called respect for that nation, and if I would have moved to Finland (which was a possibility at the time) back then, I would've spent every spare moment learning the language. Word for the day- the Finnish word Surupuku. There's no direct translation in English, but "Sorrow suit" is close. Always loved that word...
