Installing flywheel bolts

Im trying to put the flywheel back on my 52 B-3 230. I think the 8 bolts had the heads facing the engine with nuts towards the clutch. My problem is getting the bolts thru the crank now that I have pan on. I think I have to take some of the engine apart. Thanks
