Bush made noise about returning to the Moon and sending people to Mars, too, but nothing came of it. Yes, I know they're officially still planning and designing stuff for it, but it's not the Apollo program.
I hope somebody goes to Mars. Heck, I hope somebody goes to Rigel 4 to mine dilithium crystals for their warp drive. All I know is if we're going to do it, we'd better do it soon, because once we run out of fossil fuels, we're going to be putting all our energy into trying to maintain some semblance of civilized life on Earth.
