To answer your questions;

1. stay with the married NP-205/NV-4500. Nice combo and you already have it.
Three of my old iron have Dodge NV4500HD's married to NP-205's. My FFPW has a
GM NV 4500 2 wheel drive with the very short tail shaft driving into the NP-200 and centered rear axle.

2. You could convert a NV-4500 4x4 to 2 wheel drive, but its going to be very costly......and for no reason, see #1 above

3. Just get a Chelsea Series 352, Bi-Directional PTO for a NV-4500 and your good to go. This will also give you a much shorter winch drive shaft.

4. I build my own rear cross members and use NAPA rubber Isolation. The Dodge NV-4500 at the rear under the 5th gear housing has (2) 7/16" tapped holes for the mount. The NAPA isolators also have 7/16" studs on each side. Screw 3 of them onto the rear bottom of the NV-4500 and the other side (stud) to your cross member.

Now.......some Dodge NP-205's were hung behind the Getrag and NV-4500 with no mounts. Others had a NP-205 support mount. I truly believe some bean counter calculated that the very heavy weight of the NP-205 'could' be supported by the
NV-4500/Getrag/NP-205 coupling flange. I tell you that NP-205 is to heavy not to have its own support.....in my belief. I also run a second rear cross member under the NP-205 and also support the NP-205 with the same NAPA isolators mentioned above. Now I feel comfortable not hanging that heavy weight on the 3/8 studs.

The NAPA number for the Isolator with the 7/16" studs is 602-1258. Its 3.0" in diameter and 1.250" thick with 7/16" studs out of both sides. I forget the cost, but its short bucks.

Click on the link below and look at my Old Iron builds. You can see how I do the mounting.

One word of caution. If you do decide to use a 2 wheel drive NV-4500 and a divorced T Case you will have problems with the intermediate propeller shaft. If you move the T case back to use a longer intermediate propeller shaft, you will increase the drive shaft angle to the rear differential which is already near limits.

The best and in my opinion the only way on the old dodges is to use a 2 wheel drive GM NV-4500 1993 with the very short tail shaft. Then have a special intermediate propeller shaft made. I can supply you with spicer numbers if you go this way. This is what I did no my FFPW. Another caution, the 1993 NV-4500 Short Tailshaft will NOT mount to a Dodge NV-4500 Bell Housing you have. Bolt pattern is different
