Pretty soon they'll have the thing looking like a Bradley. It seems to be the nature of military planners to always want to add more armor to everything. The trouble is armor costs money and interferes with mobility. If they want an armored fighting vehicle, I'm sure this new rig would be fine, but what about the vast majority of uses of HMMWVS (or M37s and jeeps) where you need a large number of basic, reliable trucks to haul men and equipment around outside the battle zone? Are they all going to be burdened with all this armor, poor visibility, poorer access, less maintainability, etc, just because occasionally one of them might get attacked?
