I do not know the actual travel distance of the hydroboost unit. However, all my trucks are set up for full pedal travel, all the way to the floor. I use the 1991 Chevy V3500
MC and Hydroboost. The Push rod between the MC/Hydroboost is 3.442" long.

It has been reported on the forum that the hydroboost return spring, Baffle (retainer) used on the MC to Hydroboost is no longer available from GM. It is available from Tallon Hydraulics as well as other hydroboost info/parts. Look here;
