Magna is closing the New Process Gear plant (NPG) in Syracuse, New York.

"Most of the equipment remaining at New Process Gear has been moved to other Magna plants. The two assembly lines remaining will stop running on Thursday, signaling the end of a long line of proud manufacturing for more than 12 decades."

So it's a Plant closing ,not the end of NPG. They are still owned by the latest owner, Magna and still producing, just at different plants (Magna Powertrain).

Reports indicate that "A long pattern of union betrayal underwrites the present situation. The UAW and AFL-CIO have systematically undermined and isolated struggle after struggle over the past three decades."
