I think they broke due to design flaw of the after market bracket. it needs a single mount in the front because it already has 2 in the back. the frame has to be able to flex and with 2 front 2 rear there is not enough give. That is why the stock design of the flathead mount and the heavy duty trucks with polys used a single mount in the front.
