DO NOT remove the screws holding the throttle plates in. No need to, and it will cause many headaches if you do. Just leave that shaft alone.

The only critical thing internally is the float adjustment. Ignore the specs. Adjust it while held upside down, so the float lies level. You'll need to hold the float shaft retainer pin with one thumb.

Don't use carb spray on the leather pump cup.

Go for it.
