He's out of town to the west, whereas this fire started along the east side of old hwy 10 between Cle Elum and Ellensburg and is burning to the east. There's the old highway, the new freeway, railroad tracks, and a large river between Jonas's place and the fire, and the prevailing winds are blowing it east. He might well be working on the fire, though. It will be interesting to hear. It looks like the fire's mostly in grass and sagebrush, but there's a pretty new high-end subdivision in that area so maybe those are the houses that were destroyed.
