$6k pricing on trucks that only look good for parts seemed ridiculous to me. Good points made, though. $6k may be the price for someone with bottomless pockets and no common sense. The actual selling price may be much less (I'd hope anyway).
I've acquired much knowledge of the vintage Series Land Rove market. A reasonable price for a truck that's been sitting, frozen motor, rotten frame and fire wall, but decent body (Aluminum bodies=no rust) is anywhere between $1k and $2k. I've also seen perfect restorations with all period correct NOS sold at auction for $100k. The '59 Rover that I have I was recently trying to sell for $12k, which is a good price...
Anyway... Just wanting to get an idea of the PW market and wondering if the $6k derelicts were being listed here, to enthusiasts, was crazy
