1953 US M-37 with winch
This is a driving project - not restored but cleans up nice enough for a parade.
I drive it about 20 miles once a week with no problems.
I decided against turning this into an expedition truck - it's too straight and original. I decided to modify a W200 instead. I'd like to see the M-37 go to someone who wants to keep it stock.
Pros -
32K miles.
Stored indoors most of its civilian life.
Newer batteries.
Recent master cylinder rebuild.
Original carb, 24V electrical system, rifle-holders, spare-tire bracket, pioneer tools, hoops and canvas cargo cover.
Reality check -
Non-original automotive paint, turn-signal switch, locking hubs, and heater.
Some of the informational data plates appear to be recent replacements.
Electrical harness is showing its age on some chassis wiring. Dim headlight-circuit has a short and the blackout fixtures are not connected.
Crack in the front windshield.
The driver's side windshield frame needs adjustment to hinge smoothly. Opens and secures OK but not as well as it should.
A few dents in the body.
Driver's side door handle/mechanism has wear. Works but not as smooth as it should.
Hairline crack in the exhaust manifold.
Winch works but won't go into the free-spool position. Haven't pulled the housing to check the set screw.
One headlight bucket/ring is a different style than the other.
One rear safety-chain clevis is slightly bent.
Accumulates fine rust in the fuel filter and requires filter change every few months. I drained the tank and got no water or rust flakes. The tank should be removed, washed, and lined.
Note - I may increase the price to cover any repairs made prior to sale.

Parts truck CDN M-37 w/out winch (no engine/trans, has arctic top) and 1968 M101 trailer (painted to match the US M-37, has racks/hoops and canvas). $1,000 ea with the M-37, or $1,400 ea separately.
